The idea where the main concept (a music band and then artists) comes from is very simple; communicating first between musicians through sound, soul, love, trust, loyalty and emotions, thus connect this idea with those who stand in the other side of the road. So, at the end we'll be succesful as "they" are able to participate in this experience wich we're convinced to live and be part of.

From the beginning, first under the name Monterrey Contemporary Ensemble (ECM) and then as Non-Jazz (quartet, quintet, trio and finally simply Non-Jazz); the music has shown a variety of styles and ideas; which made us look for a name that tells us everything and nothing about our work. It's and it's not Jazz, and it's much more than Jazz and any other name, style and/or fashion. And we can safely say that because it's the combination of every musician that has ever join the joy of being generous and make, not say, music for the love to it, but even more important, for the love to human beings...

That's why you should know that this is a small tribute to your effort and dedication to bring life to Non-Jazz.
